Silicon Carbide
Silicon Carbide (Black)
Our black silicon carbide is solid, sharp and an aggressive abrasive. It is sharper than alumina oxide. Silicon carbide lasts longer as it is chemically stable and has a high resistance. It is used in the production of foundry filters, sandpaper and stones, mould cleaning, leather cleaning and also in the refractory sector and surface coating.

Silicon Carbide (Green)
The silicon carbide that FETAS is offering is solid (%9.5 mohs) and fragile nature makes green silicon carbide a very good abrasive which is used in hard metal, glass, ceramic and austenitic structured irons that are resistant to acid.

Green silicon carbide has high durability, thermal resistance and non oxidizing features, it is also resistant to hit and strikes, which enables it to be used in sandpaper and stone production. Its transperant colour indicates its purity (%99,8). It is also used in refrectory bricks and in technical and enginered ceramics for sintering. Dark green silicon carbide (%99,5) is used in the refractory sector.
